Course Objective

Having previously learned the basics of Excel, in this class you will perform several tasks before you begin to build your worksheet. You will map out your worksheet completing the following information.

Course Content  

  • Determine the purpose of your worksheet and give it a meaningful title. (Tracking net amounts) 

  • Determine the results or output you want from the worksheet.                        (Determine budget needs) 

  • Collect the information that will produce the results you want.

  • Determine the calculations or formulas necessary to achieve the desired results.  (What to add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)

  • Sketch how you want the worksheet to look.  Know where you want labels and values located.

  • Create the worksheet in the following order.

    • Labels

    • Values

    • Formulas

  • Add shading and formatting to enhance your worksheet.  Save and Print.

Course Duration

This course is 8 hours, and is taught in 2 sessions of 4 hours , including lessons and hands-on practice time.
